TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Section 48 of the Municipal Act 2001, S.O., 2001, c.25, as amended, the Council of the Township of Algonquin Highlands at its Regular Meeting to be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 will consider a by-law to provide for the naming and renaming of all public and private roads for the purpose of accommodating the addition of private road names within the Township of Algonquin Highlands as follows:

The Nomination Period for the October 26 municipal election begins May 1, 2026 and runs until 2 p.m. August 21, 2026.

The Township of Algonquin Highlands is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from individuals and food service professionals to operate a food truck or trailer at the Stanhope Municipal Airport for the summer of 2026.

Notice of a Complete Application and Public Meeting Concerning a Proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment. The site-specific amendment applies to land located in Part of Lot 28, Concession A, in the geographic Township of Sherborne, now in the Township of Algonquin Highlands. The civic address is 1019 Mclennan Dr.

The purpose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the subject property from the “Rural (RU) Zone to Rural Exception (RU-Exception) Zone”. The proposed rezoning is to fulfill a condition of application for consent H-028/25
