Instructor Lloyd Stonehouse is returning to Dorset's Tapscott Lopes Park on Friday, Sept. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. for another soapstone carving workshop! If you've ever wanted to create your very own soapstone masterpiece, now's your chance!

Join instructor Jacqui Bell for beginner line dancing lessons at the Dorset Recreation Centre from mid-September through early October 

The 2026 Fall Colours Fly-In will take place at the Stanhope Municipal Airport on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Stanhope Municipal Airport Advisory Committee is seeking volunteers to assist with a few functions during the Fall Colours Fly-In from on Saturday, Sept. 26!

Advance tickets for viewing of fall colours at the Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower will be  available for purchase on the AH Trails website as of 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Please note the Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower will be closed for maintenance operations on the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 1 from approximately 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The park at the Tower property will remain open during this time period, and a 50% discount will be issued for entrance fees during this time. 

Join in the autumn fun at the Stanhope Municipal Airport on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the annual Fall Colours Fly-In! There will be an array of classic and unique cars, aircraft, food vendors, artists and artisans, an aviation author, face-painting and more! And of course, for a fee, you can take in the splendour of the Haliburton Highlands fall foliage from above with an airplane or helicopter ride! 

The next installment of the Oxtongue Lake Speakers Series will take place Wednesday, Aug. 26 at the Oxtongue Lake Community Centre from 7 to 8 p.m. and feature Jordan McDonald, a project specialist with Ontario's Invading Species Awareness Program.
