You can line dance at the Dorset Recreation Centre throughout June! 

The next regular meeting of Algonquin Highlands Council takes place this Thursday, May 21 commencing at 9 a.m. You can view the agenda, which includes a link to the livestream, here.

Please note the Township of Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office and Dorset Recreation Centre will both be CLOSED on Monday, May 18 in observance of Victoria Day. The office and the DRC will re-open for their regular operating hours on the morning of Tuesday, May 19. 

The ever-popular Dorset Arts & Crafts Show will return to the parkette along Highway 35 on Sunday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. New vendors are welcome, including all types of artists and artisans!

The Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower will open for the 2026 season this Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. Come and experience one of the most breath-taking vistas in Ontario cottage country! If you've never ascended the Tower before, make 2026 the year you do!

Fly-In to Spring 2026 will take place at the Stanhope Municipal Airport on Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

With nets installed, please note that tennis, basketball and pickleball are now available at the Stanhope Courts at 1095 North Shore Road. The swings have also been installed at the park.
