Please note that the Voter Help and Revision Centre will be open at the Dorset Recreation Centre on Wednesday, October 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Staff will be available to help residents ensure they are on the Voters List, or make any required additions, deletions or corrections. 

Please note that Algonquin Highlands staff will commence the removal of Township docks from public landings for the season on Wednesday, Oct. 14, with the process continuing during the next few weeks. 

The October 26 municipal election is now less than two weeks away. 

Algonquin Highlands residents who have not already checked to ensure they are on the Voters List and that their information is current can do so here.

The next regular meeting of Algonquin Highlands Council will take place this Thursday, October 8 commencing at 9 a.m. You can find the agenda, including a link to the livestream broadcast, here. 

Please note the terminal building at the Stanhope Municipal Airport will be closed from Monday, October 5 through Saturday, October 17. The terminal building will re-open Sunday, October 18. 

The Township of Algonquin Highlands would like to advise all eligible electors, on the Voters’ List, that Voter Information Letters for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election will be mailed on Monday, October 5, 2026.

As rehabilitation work continues at the Hawk Lake Log Chute, please note that there may be another stoppage of waterflow at the dam at the site for a least a portion of the day tomorrow - Friday, Oct. 2 - between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The work, which is removing damaged portions of the log chute from the Kennisis River, is scheduled to be completed Friday.
