Service Disruption: Water systems at Algonquin Highlands facilities – Sept. 8 & 9

Please note that the Township’s water treatment systems will undergo routine maintenance on a rotating schedule during Monday, Sept. 8 and Tuesday, Sept. 9.

On Monday, Sept. 8, the affected facilities will include the Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road, the Stanhope Firefighters’ Community Hall at 1095 North Shore Road and the Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower. Please note this means the public water refill stations at all three facilities will be unavailable on this date. The water system at the Dorset Heritage Museum will also be affected.

On Tuesday, Sept. 9, the water system at the Stanhope Municipal Airport will undergo maintenance, meaning the public water refill station there will be unavailable. Water system maintenance will also be performed at the Dorset Recreation Centre, and it’s anticipated the facility will be closed at least for the morning hours. Work will also be performed at the Oxtongue Lake Community Centre, affecting the availability of water there.
