Dorset Community Christmas Tree Survey

Over the past several years it has become apparent that the Dorset Community Christmas Tree in Dorset Lions Centennial Park is going naturally past its prime. There has been expressed interest in designating a new tree.

Previously, Council had considered the idea of planting a new mature tree within the park space. Upon further review it seems a good healthy candidate for a new tree already exists just inside the entrance gates. This is a full and healthy white pine, photos of which you can see to your left. The tree will be lit for the season with a celebration on Sunday, Nov. 30 at 4:30 p.m. Residents will be be able to stop by the park to view the tree any evening thereafter.

The Township is offering the options of using this existing tree or planting a new one, and wants to hear from you! Please take the very short survey below, and let us know if you prefer the proposed tree, or the planting of a new one.
