Please note the public water refill station located at the Dorset Recreation Centre is currently out of order and will be unavailable for use until further notice. The Township will notify residents when the water station is once again operational. We apologize for any inconvenience.

NOTICE: Interruption to Canada Post service
Please note that due to the ongoing Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) strike, the Township of Algonquin Highlands is not receiving mail delivery at this time. Residents are welcome to drop payments off in the secure drop box at the front entrance of the Township of Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road.

AH waste disposal sites transition to winter hours October 16
Please note that winter hours at Algonquin Highlands waste disposal sites will come into effect starting Thursday, October 16. Summer hours will remain in effect at AH waste disposal sites until that time.

SERVICE DISRUPTION: Airport terminal building closed Oct. 4 to 8
Please note the terminal building at the Stanhope Municipal Airport will be closed from Saturday, October 4 through Wednesday, October 8. We apologize for any inconvenience.

SERVICE DISRUPTION: Closure of Dorset library branch
Please note that effective at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 26, the Dorset branch of the Haliburton County Public Library (located in the Dorset Recreation Centre) will be closed for maintenance for a period of two weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank residents for their understanding.

This is a notice of construction and service disruption for the Russell Landing, including the retaining walls and public parking area, situated at the westerly shoreline of Kawagama Lake at 1518 Russell Landing Road.

Maintenance work on Stanhope Playground - Monday, Sept. 15
Please note the "teeter-tunnel" at the Stanhope Playground will be unavailable until mid-day on Tuesday, Sept. 16 as it undergoes maintenance with the replacement of some parts. The structure will be fenced off until the work is completed.
