Take Notice that the Township of Algonquin Highlands has received a complete application to amend the Township’s Zoning By-law. The site specific amendment applies to land located in Part of Lot 18, Concession 12, Part of Lots 17-19, Concession 13, geographic Township of Sherborne, now in the Township of Algonquin Highlands. The civic address is 1254 Crumby Lake Drive (see key map).

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: Saturday, May 30
A Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event and the first one of the year in the Township of Algonquin Highlands will take place this Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maple Lake Waste Disposal Site at 1302 McPhail Road.

Victoria Day hours at AH waste disposal facilities
Please note that all Township of Algonquin Highlands waste disposal sites will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, May 18. Please remember to bring your pink Landfill User ID Card with you.

Victoria Day hours at Algonquin Highlands facilities
Please note the Township of Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office and Dorset Recreation Centre will both be CLOSED on Monday, May 18 in observance of Victoria Day. The office and the DRC will re-open for their regular operating hours on the morning of Tuesday, May 19.

Sewage System Maintenance Inspection Program 2026
The Township of Algonquin Highlands is implementing a Sewage System Maintenance Inspection Program (SSMIP) for its residents to help preserve and protect surface water and groundwater quality, in accordance with By-Law No. 2026-41.

2026 Municipal Election: Confirm you are on the Voters List!
The next municipal election will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026. Elections Ontario is now responsible for maintaining the Permanent Register of Elections for Ontario municipal elections.
