Notice of Nomination for Office - 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections
The nomination period for the 2026 municipal election starts May 1, 2026 and runs until August 21, 2026.
Nominations for Municipal Officers and School Board Trustees must be made on the prescribed form (Form 1) and must include signatures of at least 25 persons, that are eligible electors within the Township of Algonquin Highlands, endorsing the nomination on the prescribed form (Form 2). School Board Trustees are excluded from the 25 signature requirement.
Nomination forms are available at the Township of Algonquin Highlands Clerk’s Office or on the municipality’s website. All Nomination forms must be filed, either in person or by your agent, by appointment, with the Clerk/Returning Officer during normal office hours between May 1, 2026, to Thursday, August 20, 2026, and between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026 (Nomination Day).

Clerk’s Department. In the absence of the Clerk, this position performs the statutory duties of the
