TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Section 48 of the Municipal Act 2001, S.O., 2001, c25, as amended, the Council of the Township of Algonquin Highlands at its Regular Meeting to be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 will consider a by-law to provide for the naming and renaming of all public and private roads for the purpose of accommodating the addition of private road names within the Township of Algonquin Highlands as follows:

The County of Haliburton is seeking community applicants for its newly formed Haliburton County OPP Detachment Board. 

The Corporation of the Township of Algonquin Highlands is submitting a By-law, to the Registrar of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002, that will repeal and replace By-law 2022-68 being a by-law to regulate cemeteries in the Township of Algonquin Highlands. 

Please note the Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road will be closed on Monday, August 5 for the Civic Holiday, re-opening to the public at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6.
