The community is invited to the official opening ceremony for the new natural/green burial section of St. Stephen’s Cemetery on Sunday, October 19 at 1 p.m.

Please note that effective at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 26, the Dorset branch of the Haliburton County Public Library (located in the Dorset Recreation Centre) will be closed for maintenance for a period of two weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank residents for their understanding. 

The Fall Colours Fly-In takes place this weekend on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Stanhope Municipal Airport!

The Fall Colours Fly-In is coming up at the Stanhope Municipal Airport on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pilots attending the event are welcome to camp overnight on the airport grounds the evening before on Friday, Feb. 26. 

There are plenty of opportunities to safely dispose of your household hazardous waste in September!

Looking for something to do during the week? Come to the Dorset Recreation Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for card and board games! 

Advance tickets to view fall colours are available for purchase now on the AH Trails website. 

Advance tickets to visit the Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower during fall colours go on sale beginning Tuesday, September 2. Tickets will be required to visit the Tower beginning September 20, and continuing through to the end of the season on October 26.

One of the Township's most popular events of the year returns to the Stanhope Municipal Airport from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27! Mark your calendars for the Fall Colours Fly-In!
