Cross-Country Ski Trails OpenWith all of this freshly fallen snow, AH's hard-working Parks, Rec and Trails staff have been out grooming ski trails, and we're happy to report there are currently five kilometres open, including the Bunny, Sawmill and South Beaver trails, as well as a portion of the Fox trail.

DRC and AH Trails Office closing early - Monday, Dec. 9
Please note that due to the inclement weather and deteriorating driving conditions, the Dorset Recreation Centre and AH Trails Office at St. Nora Lake will both be closing at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 9.

Oxtongue Lake tree lighting on Friday, December 6
Residents are invited to welcome the festive season with a community tree-lighting celebration in Oxtongue Lake on Friday, December 6 at 4 6.m. The event will take place at the Community Centre. There will be hot chocolate, carols and a visit from Santa Claus. Please bring a travel mug to enjoy your hot chocolate.

Stanhope tree lighting on Friday, November 29
Community members are invited to usher in the festive season with a tree-lighting celebration in Stanhope this Friday, November 29 starting at 6 p.m. The event will take place outside the Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road. There will be hot chocolate, carols and a visit from Santa Claus. Residents are asked to bring travel mugs to enjoy their hot chocolate.

Dorset tree lighting on Sunday, December 1
Residents are invited to welcome the festive season with a community tree-lighting celebration in Dorset on Sunday, December 1 at 4 p.m. The event will take place at Dorset Lions Centennial Park. There will be hot chocolate, carols and a visit from Santa Claus. Please bring a travel mug to enjoy your hot chocolate.

Algonquin Highlands Council will commence its 2025 Budget discussions with a special Projects and Priorities meeting on Thursday, Nov. 28 at 9 a.m. This is chance for members of Council to hear about potential priority projects for the upcoming year from senior Staff.
