The Township of Algonquin Highlands is introducing the Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) to process and adjudicate contraventions of its regulatory by-laws and provincial regulations, including those applying to short-term rentals, noise, parking and more.

Season passes are available to the Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower!

Please note the Dorset Recreation Centre will be closed on Thursday, June 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to facilitate additional electrical system upgrades at the facility. Thank you for your understanding. 

Please note the public water refill station located at the Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower is once again operational. 

The Township of Algonquin Highlands is seeking applications from experienced, qualified people for the position of Operator for the Stanhope Yard.

Please note the Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower will be closed for construction for at least part of the day on Tuesday, May 27.

Please note the Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road will be closed on Monday, May 19 for Victoria Day, re-opening to the public on Tuesday, May 20 at 8 a.m. 

The Township continues to recruit volunteer coaches for the Stanhope Soccer League for the upcoming summer season. This is a fun, non-competitive, skills-building, outdoor league for children aged 4 to 11, with games taking place in Stanhope on Tuesday evenings from July 2 to August 19.
