Hawk Lake Log Chute Rehabilitation - Thursday, Oct. 1

As rehabilitation work continues at the Hawk Lake Log Chute, please note that there may be another stoppage of waterflow at the dam at the site for a least a portion of the day tomorrow - Friday, Oct. 2 - between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The work, which is removing damaged portions of the log chute from the Kennisis River, is scheduled to be completed Friday. 

The trailhead for the Crests of Kennisis hiking trail remains open. 

An intact portion of the log chute that abuts the dam will remain. Next steps for the structure will be determined by the incoming Algonquin Highlands Council.
