The community is invited to attend the Township of Algonquin Highlands flag-raising celebration for Pride in the Highlands, which will take place Monday, Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. on the front lawn of the AH Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road. 

TAKE NOTICE the bus tour of municipal infrastructure for members of Algonquin Highlands Council for educational purposes that had been scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, 2025 has been cancelled. 

Effective at noon on Tuesday, Aug 5, 2025, there will be a total fire ban throughout the County of Haliburton, including the townships of Algonquin Highlands, Minden Hills, Highlands East and Dysart et al. This means no outdoor burning any time of day or night. 

TAKE NOTICE members of Council will be participating in a tour, for educational purposes, of municipal infrastructure located in the Township of Algonquin Highlands on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, commencing at 9:00 AM. 

Please note the Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road will be closed on Monday, August 4 for the civic holiday, re-opening to the public at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5. 

Take Notice that the Township of Algonquin Highlands has received a complete application to amend the Township’s Zoning By-law. The site specific amendment applies to land located in Part of Lot 32, Concession 1, in the geographic Township of McClintock, now in the Township of Algonquin Highlands. The civic address is 14496 Long Island, Kawagama Lake W.A.O. (see key map).
