The Township of Algonquin Highlands Parks, Recreation and Trails Department is seeking a qualified individual to fulfill the seasonal position of Trails Office Coordinator. 

The Township of Algonquin Highlands Parks, Recreation and Trails Department, in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is hosting the Stewardship Youth Ranger Program and seeking a Youth Ranger Team Lead for the 2025 season.

The Township of Algonquin Highlands is accepting applications for the position of Tax Administrator. 

Due to worsening weather and road conditions, the Township office and Dorset Recreation centre will close at 4:30 p.m. today (Friday, February 28th)

A reminder that Algonquin Highlands Council will hold 2025 budget deliberations this week, during special meetings on Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28. The meetings commence at 9 a.m., respectively. 

Waste disposal sites in Algonquin Highlands will be operating special hours on Family Day, Monday, February 17th.
Pine Spring and Oxtongue Lake will be CLOSED.
Maple Lake and Dorset will be open late, from 12 noon until 3 p.m.

Please note the Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road will be closed on Monday, February 17 for Family Day, re-opening to the public on Tuesday, February 18 at 8 a.m.
