A special meeting of Algonquin Highlands Council takes place this Tuesday, March 24 commencing at 9 a.m. The meeting will include a closed session followed by the continuation of Council's 2026 Budget discussions. 

A reminder the fire season begins on Wednesday, April 1, meaning that as a safety precaution, outdoor burning is prohibited between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Burning during the fire season is permitted between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., unless a fire ban is in place.
