Closures and impacts from Significant Weather Event - March 30
In response to a major freezing rain event in the area, The County of Haliburton, the Township of Minden Hills, the Township of Algonquin Highlands, the Municipality of Highlands East, and the Municipality of Dysart et al have declared a Significant Weather Event at 3:00 p.m. local time that will impact travel and services throughout the County. This declaration is made pursuant to Ontario Regulation 239/02, Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways.

Frost Centre Hiking Trails temporarily closed
Please note that due a downed line near the entrance of the Frost Centre Hiking Trails, the trails are closed as of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11.

Outdoor rinks closed due to mild weather
Please note that due to the mild weather and rain, the Township's outdoor rinks in Dorset and Stanhope are both closed for the time being. We'll notify residents when we are able to reopen the skating rinks.
