Notice of the Voters' List/Revision Period
Revisions to the Voters’ List will take place between September 1, 2026, and October 23, 2026, and to the close of Voting Day at 8:00 p.m. on October 26, 2026.
As of September 1, 2026, all electors should ensure that their names and relevant information are correct on the Voters’ List. To confirm if you are on the Voters’ List and your information is correct you may:

Review/Correct your information or add your name to the voters’ list electronically through the following link: https://algonquinhighlands.voterservices.ca

Contact the Municipal Office at 705-489-2379 during regular office hours

Attend the Municipal Office at 1123 North Shore Road during regular office hours, and on Saturday October 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Voting Day October 26, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Attend the Dorset Recreation Centre 1051 Main Street Dorset on the following Wednesdays, September 16, 23, 30, and October 7 and 14 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and on Saturday October 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Voting Day October 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The application shall be in writing and shall be filed in person, or by mail, or through the electronic portal noted above by the applicant with the required identification. Proof of identity and residence as prescribed in O. Reg. 304/13 will be required of the applicant when submitting an application. A list of acceptable ID can be found on the Township’s website. If the applicant does not appear in person, a copy of proof of identity and showing proof of residence/ occupancy is required to accompany the mailed or electronic submitted application.
Applications for revisions to the Voters’ List are available at the Municipal Office at 1123 North Shore Road and on the Township’s website at www.algonquinhighlands.ca
QUALIFICATIONS OF ELECTORS
A person is entitled to vote in a municipal election if he or she on voting day:
- resides in the local municipality, or is the owner or tenant of land in the municipality, or the spouse of such owner or tenant; and
- is a Canadian citizen, and
- is at least 18 years old, and
- is not prohibited from voting by law.
