Half-load restrictions come into effect March 14

Please note that half-load restrictions are currently in place on County of Haliburton roadways, and will come into effect on Township of Algonquin Highlands roads this Friday, March 14. 

Half-load restrictions limit vehicle weight loads to five tonnes per axle in order to protect roads during the spring thaw. Exceeding the restrictions can result in financial penalties under the Highway Traffic Act. Restrictions will be lifted when temperatures and road conditions allow.
