Celebrate Canada Day in Oxtongue Lake on Tuesday, July 1! 

The next regular meeting of Algonquin Highlands Council takes place this Thursday, June 19 commencing at 9 a.m. You can view the agenda, which includes a link to the livestream, here. 

The Township of Algonquin Highlands is introducing the Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) to process and adjudicate contraventions of its regulatory by-laws and provincial regulations, including those applying to short-term rentals, noise, parking and more.

Please be advised that the parking lot at the Stanhope Municipal Airport will be closed on Saturday, May 24, 2025 for the Spring Fly-In event. 

Please note the Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road will be closed on Monday, May 19 for Victoria Day, re-opening to the public on Tuesday, May 20 at 8 a.m. 

Heading into the long weekend, a friendly reminder that the updated Algonquin Highlands Fireworks By-Law prohibits the lighting of fireworks on Victoria Day weekend, including the Monday holiday.
