Pink Landfill User ID Cards remain in use at AH sites
As Algonquin Highlands residents are receiving their tax bills in the mail, please note there is no new Landfill User ID Card with the February tax bill. Please continue to use your pink Landfill User ID card to access AH waste disposal site until further notice.

Family Day hours at Algonquin Highlands facilities
Please note the Township of Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road will be closed on Monday, February 16 for Family Day. The office will re-open to the public at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17.

New recycling program in place as of January 1
As of Jan. 1, 2026, an enhanced recycling program is in effect in the Township of Algonquin Highlands and throughout the province, allowing residents to recycle the same materials regardless of where they live and to recycle more items than before.

Significant Weather Event Declaration Lifted - December 30
Please note the Declaration of a Significant Weather Event that was issued by the Township of Algonquin Highlands, the County of Haliburton and its other member municipalities on December 28, 2025, will officially be lifted as of noon on Wednesday, December 30, 2025.
