Waste Disposal Sites CLOSED Monday, December 29

All waste disposal sites in Algonquin Highlands will be CLOSED today, Monday, December 29, 2025.

Freezing rain has resulted in dangerous road conditions. For your safety, please limit all non-essential travel.

Site operations may continue to be impacted by this weather event into Tuesday. Please check the website news and notices, or the Haliburton County Waste Wizard, for information before attending waste disposal sites.

SERVICE DISRUPTION: Public water refill station at Stanhope Municipal Airport

Please note the public water refill station at the Stanhope Municipal Airport is currently out of order. Drinking water remains available at the AH Admin Office at 1123 North Shore Road and at the Stanhope Firefighters' Community Hall at 1095 North Shore Road.

The Township will inform residents when the tap at the airport is again operational. Thank you for your patience.
