Take Notice: An Application for a Minor Variance from the provisions of Comprehensive Zoning ByLaw 2022-49 has been submitted to the Township of Algonquin Highlands Committee of Adjustment,
the approval authority in these matters. The Application has been reviewed and has been found to be
complete.

Purpose and Effect: The applicant is seeking relief from:
1. Section 4.2.6 of Comprehensive Zoning By-Law 2022-49 to increase the maximum accessory
structure lot coverage from 5% to 6.14% for the purpose of constructing a 5256 sq ft detached
garage.
Public Meeting Date: Friday, February 23rd, 2024.
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Location: 1123 North Shore Road, Algonquin Highlands, Ontario.
Official Plan: Waterfront
Zoning: Shoreline Residential Type Two (SR2).

Any Person or Agency may provide representation at the Public Meeting via phone, video
conference and/or make written representation prior to the meeting, in support of or in opposition to
the proposed By-law. To participate you must Contact Sean O’Callaghan, Planner at
socallaghan@algonquinhighlands.ca or (705) 489-2379 by 3pm Tuesday February 20th, 2024 to
pre-register and receive additional instructions. You will need to provide your name, address,
telephone number, email address and the file number of the application you wish to speak to.

Upon registering for a meeting, you will be emailed a link and a telephone number for the Zoom meeting.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written
submissions to the Township of Algonquin Highlands in respect of the proposed permission before the
decision is made by the Committee of Adjustment; the person or public body is not entitled to appeal
the decision of the Township of Algonquin Highlands to the Ontario Land Tribunal. If a person or public
body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Township
of Algonquin Highlands before the decision is made by the Committee of Adjustment, the person or
public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal
unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
Requesting Notice of Decision: A copy of the decision will only be sent to the applicant, the agent
and to each person who has filed with the Secretary-Treasurer a written request for notice of the
decision.

Additional Information: Additional information regarding this Application for Minor Variance is
available for public inspection at the Planning Department, Township of Algonquin Highlands, by
appointment during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
