New recycling program in place as of January 1

As of Jan. 1, 2026, an enhanced recycling program is in effect in the Township of Algonquin Highlands and throughout the province, allowing residents to recycle the same materials regardless of where they live and to recycle more items than before. 

Please note the program is managed by Circular Materials, and not the Township of Algonquin Highlands.
