Fall Colours Fly-In on Saturday, September 26

The 2026 Fall Colours Fly-In will take place at the Stanhope Municipal Airport on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“This is one of the Township’s most popular events of the year,” says Algonquin Highlands Mayor Liz Danielsen. “Whether you’re a classic car buff, an aviation enthusiast, or just looking for something fun to do with your family on a Saturday afternoon, there’s something for everyone. If you’ve never seen Algonquin Highlands’ fall foliage from above, maybe this is the year.”

Organized by the Stanhope Municipal Airport Advisory Committee, the event will feature classic car and unique aircraft displays, food trucks, a barbecue, live music, artists and artisans, face-painting (by donation), an aviation author and more. General admission is free and for a fee, helicopter and airplane rides will be available.

Pilots are welcome to camp overnight on site the evening of Friday, Sept. 25 but must pre-register. The Stanhope Municipal Airport is located at 1168 Stanhope Airport Road. A rain date is set for Sunday, Sept. 27.
