Disruption to water services: May 10 to 13

Please take note there will be a disruption to water services at the Algonquin Highlands municipal complex along North Shore Road and the Dorset Recreation Centre next weekend, between Friday, May 10 and Monday, May 13. Water will be unavailable between 5 p.m. on Friday, May 10 and the morning of Monday, May 13 to allow for routine well cleaning. The outage will affect the DRC and neighbouring Public Works garage, the Public Works garage in Stanhope, the Stanhope Firefighters’ Community Hall, the Stanhope branch of the Haliburton County Public Library, and the Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office.

This means the public water refill stations in Dorset, at the Stanhope Firefighters’ Community Hall, and at the AH Administrative Office will be unavailable during the outlined time period. The only Township-owned public water tap that will be operational during this period is located at the Stanhope Municipal Airport. Service is scheduled to resume prior to 8 a.m. on Monday, May 13
