TAKE NOTICE that there will be a Special Meeting of Council on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 9:00 a.m.

NOTICE is hereby provided that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Algonquin Highlands intends to consider amending Comprehensive Fees and Charges By-Law 2023-68 at its regular meeting to be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

The Township’s License of Occupation Policy, approved through By-Law 2023-98, applies in cases where privately owned infrastructure is located on a Township-owned shore road allowance separated by a municipally maintained road from the adjacent residence. It was approved by Algonquin Highlands Council during a November 2, 2023 meeting and will come into effect on Jan. 1, 2024.

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Algonquin Highlands has declared part of the original shore road allowance lying in front of Lot 14, Concession 6, in the geographic Township of Stanhope, in the Township of Algonquin Highlands, County of Haliburton, to be surplus.

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Algonquin Highlands has declared part of the original shore road allowance lying in front of Lot 3, Concession 2, in the geographic Township of McClintock, in the Township of Algonquin Highlands, County of Haliburton, to be surplus.

Take Notice that the Township of Algonquin Highlands has received a complete
application to amend the Township’s Zoning By-law. The site specific amendment applies
to land located in Part of Lot 11 Concession 7, in the geographic Township of Stanhope,
now in the Township of Algonquin Highlands.1005 McLaughlin Point Lane.

application to amend the Township’s Zoning By-law. The site specific amendment applies
to land located in Part of Lot 10 Concession 6, in the geographic Township of Livingstone,
now in the Township of Algonquin Highlands. 1105 Laurel Road (see key map).
Purpose and Effect: The purpose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment
is to rezone a portion of the subject property from the “Recreational Commercial (C3) Zone
to Shoreline Residential Two (SR2) Zone” to fulfill a condition of application for consent H-056/22.
