  • Stanhope & Community Fly-In to Spring 2024

    The Township of Algonquin Highlands is hosting a spring fly-in at the Stanhope Municipal Airport on Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • AH Celebrates National Volunteer Week

    It’s National Volunteer Week and Algonquin Highlands Council is celebrating the many residents who volunteer their time and energy to make Township events, activities, attractions and programming a reality.

  • AHFS training at Stanhope Municipal Airport

    Please note that members of Algonquin Highlands Fire Services from Station 80 will be taking part in a training exercise on the runway at Stanhope Municipal Airport on the evening of Monday, April 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. The runway will be unavailable during this time and a NOTAM is being issued to aviators. 

  • New County-Wide Burning By-Law Takes Effect April 1

    A new Open Air Burning By-Law will come into effect across the municipalities of Haliburton County on Monday, April 1, 2024. Jointly created by the County’s four Chief Fire Officials and adopted by each of its lower-tier municipal councils, the new by-law establishes consistent burning regulations throughout the County and introduces some new provisions.



  • Fire Ban Remains in Effect in Algonquin Highlands

    A reminder a total fire ban as instituted June 1 remains in effect in the Township of Algonquin Highlands and throughout the County of Haliburton.
