  • AH Celebrates National Volunteer Week

    It’s National Volunteer Week and Algonquin Highlands Council is celebrating the many residents who volunteer their time and energy to make Township events, activities, attractions and programming a reality.

  • Registration open for Stanhope Soccer League

    Please note that registration is now open for the Stanhope Soccer League.

  • Easter Weekend Hours at AH Facilities

    Please note the Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office at 1123 North Shore Road will be closed on Friday, March 29 (Good Friday) and Monday, April 1 (Easter Monday). The office will re-open to the public at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2. The Algonquin Highlands Trails Office at 20130 Highway 35 North will also be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. 

  • Seeking volunteer coaches for Stanhope Soccer League

    The Township of Algonquin Highlands is currently seeking volunteer coaches to assist with this summer's Stanhope Soccer League.

  • Committee Members Required: Environment and Stewardship Committee and Recreation Committee

    Council invites letters of interest from members of the public who are interested in serving on the Environment and Stewardship Committee or the Recreation Committee for the remaining term of Council.

    The Township of Algonquin Highlands is currently seeking volunteer coaches to assist with this summer's Stanhope Soccer League. 

  • Ski trails closed at Frost Centre

    The Township has closed its cross-country ski trails at the former Frost Centre following last night's storm. The trails are currently littered with debris, including fallen trees, and rain has diminished the trail bed, creating extremely icy conditions. There are also washouts in many places. 

  • Establishment of Tapscott Lopes Park in Dorset

    The Township of Algonquin Highlands is pleased to announce its acquisition of the Dorset Pavilion and Community Park in the hamlet of Dorset. The park has been gifted to the Township by cottagers Don Tapscott C.M. and Ana Lopes C.M. and has been renamed “Tapscott Lopes Park” in recognition of its donors.

  • Dorset Snowball returns Family Day Weekend

    One of the Township of Algonquin Highlands’ biggest events of the year returns Family Day Weekend with the Dorset Snowball Winter Carnival.
