Notice is hereby provided that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Algonquin Highlands intends to consider amending Comprehensive Fees and Charges By-Law 2022-114 at its regular meeting to be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Please note that wireless internet at Algonquin Highlands facilities along North Shore Road will be unavailable for approximately two hours on the morning of Wednesday, July 26. 

The new operations centre at the Maple Lake Waste Disposal Site is now available to residents, with members of Algonquin Highlands Council presiding over an official opening of the facility on June 27.

A reminder a total fire ban as instituted June 1 remains in effect in the Township of Algonquin Highlands and throughout the County of Haliburton.

The Township of Algonquin Highlands will launch its new municipal website later this month, at the same address as the current site at www.algonquinhighlands.ca. The new site features enhanced capabilities to better serve the public and is scheduled to go live on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 20.

Council invites letters of interest from members of the public who are interested in serving on the Environment and Stewardship Committee and/or the Stanhope Airport Advisory Committee for the remaining term of Council.

Residents are invited to an open house, taking place Monday, May 1 to recognize First Responders Day.

Notice is provided that the Council of the Township of Algonquin Highlands proposes to enact a By-law to adopt the 2023 Municipal Budget at its Regular Meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 16, 2023.
