Getting Here
Algonquin Highlands is located approximately 2½ hours north of the greater Toronto area, 4 hours west of Ottawa, and about 20 to 45 minutes east of Muskoka, depending on your location. Our major highway corridors include Highway 60 in the north, Highway 118 in the south, and Highway 35 running north-south, connecting the two. Highway 117 north-east from Bracebridge connects Highway 11 to the village of Dorset.
Bus
Can-Ar Coach Service provides daily service between Toronto and Minden/Haliburton. Check their website for schedules, fees and bus stop locations, as well as contact information to book a trip.
Hammond Transportation, in conjunction with Ontario Northland, offers limited bus service between Toronto and Dorset, via Bracebridge. This service operates once a week and advance reservations are preferred. They also offer a summer service (two to three times per week) from Toronto to Algonquin Park, via Huntsville, with a stop at Oxtongue Lake. Air

Getting Around
Algonquin Highlands is a rural area best explored by car or motorcycle. If you don't have a vehicle, rental agencies are available in Lindsay, Bracebridge and Huntsville. There is no public transit service in Algonquin Highlands.
