Birth Registrations
The Township of Algonquin Highlands births are registered at the Office of the Registrar General. You may register your child’s birth and order a birth certificate through Service Ontario. Forms may be obtained from a Service Ontario Centre.

Death Registrations
The Vital Statistics Act provides that a death should be registered immediately. No funeral service or burial can take place unless a burial permit is issued. A death must first been registered before a burial permit can be issued.
In Haliburton County, the Township of Minden Hills is authorized to register a death, upon receipt and matching of the Statement of Death, and the Medical Certificate of Death. To register a death please contact:
