You can be a steward of the Algonquin Highlands trails systems!
Adopt a campsite, portage, lake, access point, hiking or ski trail. Help Protect and Preserve the Haliburton Highlands.
Open to individuals, families, corporate and community organizations.
How your help is needed!
- Volunteer your time
- Make a donation
- Participate in Community Watch
- Do any combination of the above
- Receive recognition for your valued contribution
- Every contribution goes towards area maintenance and improvements such as signage, privies, fire pit rings, tree planting, site and trail rehabilitation.

Trails Office Hours of Operation
Victoria Day Weekend to Thanksgiving Weekend - Open 7 days a week 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
After Thanksgiving to Dec 31:Monday - Friday 10am-3pm
January 1st to end of March Break: 7 days a week 10am - 3pm
End of March Break to Victoria Day Weekend: /strong>Monday - Friday 10am-3pm
