Energy Management Planning
The Green Energy Act requires public agencies, including municipalities, to report annually on energy use and also to develop a five-year energy conservation and management plan. The goal of the plan is to reduce energy consumption within Township operations and their related environmental impacts.
In 2014, The Township of Algonquin Highlands developed its first Energy Management Plan. A new Energy Management Plan was created in 2019.
